On 19 September, a group of pirate enthusiasts rampaged through the streets of Exeter collecting pieces of silver for the charity that saves lives at sea. Notorious Natty and his pirate crew collected £424 for Exmouth RNLI on international talk like a pirate day.

Over 20 pirates stormed through the fine old taverns of Exeter raising funds and mayhem as they went. The annual pub crawl which comprised 15 pubs, started at 11am and finished 12 hours later with a live band. The final haul was £24 than last year’s event.

Event spokeswoman, Therese Canning said:

‘The crew would like to thank everyone involved, especially all the innkeepers, the generous landlubbers and the band, Spin2 who gave a splendid piratey performance at the Sorry Head.’
