Maidenhead Golf Club Score A Hole In One with Their Fundraising

Sue and David Westlake raised £550 from a stall and raffle at the Presidents Day for the Berkshire Captains at Maidenhead Golf Club. Sue and David’s niece Jane Walter and her son Henry presented the cheque to crew volunteers Robert Thompson (Tommo) and Harry Griffin.

Sue and David come to Exmouth regularly to visit their niece Jane Walter and her 8 year old son Henry, on their visits to Exmouth they have become interested in the work of Exmouth RNLI and always visit the station and the shop and regularly follow news and updates from the station on social media. Sue and David decided they wanted to help raise funds for Exmouth RNLI so they set up a stall at the Maidenhead Golf Club Presidents day for Berkshire Captains and held a raffle, with £550 being raised for Exmouth RNLI!

Jane and Henry visited the station to present the cheque to our crew volunteers, Henry very much enjoyed his visit to the station and his tour of the Shannon class lifeboat R and J Welburn.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea and with the amazing generosity of people like Sue, David, Jane and Henry the RNLI can continue to save, rescue and educate people to ensure more lives are saved.
