The new local gig rowing club in town has helped raise £127.75 for Exmouth RNLI on 23 and 24 August, during the charity’s Open Day Weekend. The club organised a rowing competition and sold bottled water to help save lives at sea at the event.
On Saturday 30 August at 8.03pm, inshore lifeboat George Bearman was tasked to locate a man drifting upriver in a toy inflatable. A member of the public had called Brixham Coastguard at 8pm.

On 1 March, volunteers from Exmouth RNLI and their families gathered at the boathouse on Queens Drive for a double celebration.
After nearly 34 dedicated years to the charity that saves lives at sea, Tim Mock, Exmouth Lifeboat Coxswain Mechanic officially retired on 3 February. Volunteers from crew, shop and management assembled in the boathall for the afternoon to wish him well for his retirement. The Mersey-class Margaret Jean was pushed onto the slipway for the occasion.
