The Exmouth Journal reported that, at 23:04hrs Exmouth and Beer Coastguard Rescue Teams and our ILB responded to calls from witnesses stating that people had been seen in distress.
Our ILB headed out to sea and the crew were able to make contact with the person in question who confirmed that they were not experiencing any difficulties and were not in distress. This shout was classified as a false alarm with good intent.
