At 22.34 HM Coastguard tasked our ILB, George Bearman II, to assist Dawlish Coastguard, Exmouth Coastguard Rescue Team and the South Western Ambulance Service with an incident at Dawlish Warren. The casualty was safely delivered to the ambulance service.  Thanks to our colleagues from the other agencies for another great bit of teamwork.

In a busy evening for the volunteer crew of RNLI Exmouth, the pager had also gone off at 18.42 requesting the launch of the ILB. We are pleased to report that this turned out to be a false alarm with good intent when it was ascertained that the swimmer has made it to shore safely and unaided.  The launch of the Exmouth RNLI D-Class Lifeboat, George Bearman II, was cancelled at 18.49.  As always, we are very grateful to members of the public for alerting the coastguard with any concerns.
