HM Coastguard requested the launch of our ILB just before 15.00hrs following 999 calls from members of the public concerned about paddleboarders off the beach at Budleigh Salterton. Our crew were on scene very quickly and established that the two paddleboarders had managed to self-rescue and were safely back on the beach.
