At 12:20hrs, HM Coastguard requested the launch of our All Weather Lifeboat and then, at 12.22hrs, the launch of our Inshore Lifeboat.

Both boats were tasked to assist in a multi-agency search in challenging weather conditions. Launching into force 5 winds and 2-metre swells, our all-weather lifeboat, 13 03 R and J Welburn, and our inshore lifeboat, George Bearman II, made swift passage but were stood down on arrival at the scene.

Their departures were captured in videos on our FB page which show that our volunteer crews are ready when the pager goes, whatever the weather.”
