The Exmouth RNLI volunteer shore crew were still washing down the lifeboat on the slipway when the pagers sounded again at 17.26hrs.
The George Bearman II was swiftly relaunched at 17.31hrs to a medical evacuation from a vessel in the Exe Estuary. Once on scene, the Exmouth RNLI crew recovered two people from the vessel to Exmouth Marina, where they were handed over to the Coastguard Rescue Team.
Returning to the lifeboat station at 18.20hrs, the charity’s lifeboat was washed down and refuelled, and ready for service again by 18.30hrs.
