At 6:29pm yesterday Wednesday 23 June 2021 the Exmouth RNLI Inshore Lifeboat D-805 George Bearman II was tasked by H.M. Coastguard to a report of two individuals on a jet ski that had broken down on the River Exe between the River Exe Café and Star Cross.
The lifeboat, crewed by Helm, Guy Munnings and volunteer crew, Ed Thomas and Geoff Mills launched and immediately made its way to the last reported location of the casualty vessel.
Meanwhile, a local safety vessel on the River Exe located the Jet Ski and conveyed the vessel and its occupants to the safety of shore at Belshers Slipway, Exmouth.
Both occupants of the jet ski were uninjured and did not require medical attention. They were given advice by the RNLI lifesavers as to water safety and proper use of lifejackets.
The incident was concluded and the lifeboat back on station ready for service a short time later.
