Exmouth RNLI rescue person trapped by tide

At 11.34am today Tuesday 24th October 2023, H.M. Coastguard requested the launch of Exmouth RNLI inshore lifeboat D-805 George Bearman II following a report of a female cut off by the tide on the beach between Orcombe Point and Rodney Point, Exmouth. Exmouth Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked to the incident.

The charity’s lifeboat launched at 11:43pm and immediately sped to the scene reaching the casualty a few minutes later. She was taken on board the lifeboat to the safety of shore back at Exmouth Lifeboat Station where she was seen by the Coastguard Rescue Team. She was not injured and did not require medical treatment.

Having successfully completed the tasking, the lifeboat crew were stood down by H.M. Coastguard and the lifeboat was then made ready for service a short time later.
