We’re excited to host a special auction featuring original paintings generously donated by talented local artists from Exmouth Art Group, we thank them all.

100% of all funds raised will go directly to support the lifesaving work of our RNLI.

How to Bid

To submit your bid, from July 1st through to September 30th, use the online bidding form found here

You will need to tell us the following:

  1. Lot Number
  2. Your Bid Amount
  3. Your Full Name
  4. Your Contact Phone Number

Please make note of the size of the painting as some are much larger than others. They have been measured to the outer edges of the frame or canvas in centimetres, width x height.

The current highest bid will be shown next to each painting.

You can place a bid on any painting, or the blanket, at any time between July 1st and September 30th.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to use the online bidding form, you can bid using a bidding slip held in the shop at Exmouth RNLI Station.

Handcrafted RNLI Exmouth Commemorative Blanket Celebrating 200 Years of Lifesaving Service

Created with love and skill by the Exmouth Yarn Bombers, this one-of-a-kind handcrafted blanket commemorates the 200th Anniversary of the RNLI.

Now, it’s time for this stunning creation to find a new home—through auction—with all proceeds supporting the RNLI’s lifesaving mission.

A Story in Stitches
The blanket beautifully captures a dramatic rescue scene featuring the RNLI Exmouth Shannon Lifeboat 13-03, R & J Welburn, saving a paddleboarder in distress. It’s a heartfelt tribute to the bravery and dedication of our lifeboat crews.

 

A Meaningful Keepsake
This special piece is especially significant for those who have added a name to the lifeboat through the Launch A Memory campaign. It’s more than a blanket—it’s a symbol of remembrance and community spirit.

Crafted to Give Back
Originally presented to RNLI Exmouth to help raise funds, the blanket has been on display for a year beside the entrance to The Deck at Ocean on Exmouth seafront, inspiring donations from countless admirers.

Viewing Dates

We will display the paintings in the RNLI shop at Exmouth Lifeboat Station on the following dates:

Paintings numbered 1-8: throughout July

Paintings numbered 9-16: throughout August

Paintings numbered 17-24: throughout September

The blanket can be viewed at The Deck, Ocean

Terms and Conditions

1. In the event of two equal bids, the first one received into our auction@exmouthlifeboat.org.uk email account will take precedence. In the event of this happening, we will contact the under bidder by email

2. All paintings and Blanket will need to be collected

3. If your bid is successful, we will contact you by email to arrange payment and collection

4. In the event of identical bids, the bid submitted earliest—based on the electronic timestamp recorded on the bidding form—will take precedence.
