Tuesday, 12 May 2026, at 15:13hrs HM Coastgurard tasked Exmouth RNLI’s D-class lifeboat, George Bearman II, to assist a local safety vessel, the DMS Cerne, who had taken under tow an 18 foot motor boat that had engine failure with 2 persons on board.
The lifeboat was quickly launched and took over the tow at #10 buoy to Exmouth marina. The lifeboat was then stood down and returned to station where it was washed down, fuelled and made ready for the next shout.
