While on exercise HM Coastguard tasked our All Weather Lifeboat, R and J Welburn, to a 22 foot motor boat in the river.
The vessel had engine failure, caused by seaweed being drawn into the seacock. While the anchor had been deployed, it was dragging.
One of our crew members was transferred to the motor vessel to assist in securing the tow line. The vessel was then towed back to its mooring.
