On Saturday 26 September 2026 at 09:42hrs, our volunteer lifeboat crew were tasked to a broken down speed boat just south of Pole Sands by HM Coastguard.

Exmouth RNLI’s inshore lifeboat, George Bearman II, was quickly launched and made best speed to the reported location of the casualty vessel. Upon arrival the broken down speed boat was being towed by another vessel. The inshore lifeboat stood by positioned off the  end of Warren spit and after ensuring all was well the lifeboat was stood down.

The inshore lifeboat returned to the station where it was washed down, refuelled ready for the next shout.
