- This Lifeboat was presented to the RNLI by the National Association of Round Tables to celebrate the association’s Golden Jubilee, and named after the founder, Louis Marchesi.
The design is based on that of the USA Coastguard cutters.
When sold by the RNLI, she was renamed ‘P&O Nedlloyd Rescue’ and used by the Waiheke Volunteer Coastguard in New Zealand. Later converted to a houseboat/cruiser based at Whangarei, New Zealand.

Formed in November 1993, ERC is an inclusive, community club with charity status. We aim to bring the traditions and skills of estuary and sea rowing to the town.
We attract enthusiastic rowers to form the competitive core of an amateur rowing club. On the beach our boats attract a great deal of attention and provide the town with both a sporting and visual amenity.
