  • Margaret Jean was a gift from Peter and Jean Bath.

    The Mersey class Lifeboat was the first of the fast Lifeboats designed to launch from a carriage.  

    The fully protected propellers allow the boat run onto beach for recovery by a carriage.

    It has radio equipment, DGPS Navigator and electronic chart systems, Radar and weather sensors. 

    In 2009, a 19tonne tractor and carriage arrived, and Margaret Jean became the first lifeboat to occupy the new RNLI Station 

    Sold by the RNLI in 2020, and now in private use in St Peter Port, Guernsey.
