Budleigh Salterton coffee morning raises funds for Exmouth RNLI

Over 100 people attended the two hour-long event on the sunny and dry morning. Organiser, Brian Cole said of the event;

‘The final result for the whole event was a magnificent total of £797.17. Thanks to the numerous volunteers who helped out on the morning, that sum will now go entirely towards the costs of carrying out our tasks of saving lives at sea.’

There were a number of stalls including items for sale made by talented RNLI volunteers and their families, including: cakes, preserves, hand-made cards and crackers. Local craftsman, David Huggett sold his wood-turned items and there was a souvenir stall selling RNLI branded merchandise which raised £241 on the morning.

Clare Enyon from RNLI trusts and legacies department was invited to draw the raffle prizes.
