Riley is willing to drop everything when the pager sounds to help his dad (and the rest of the crew!) launch our lifeboats and keep our crew smiling.
Like all of our crew, Riley has a day job. He is our Therapy dog, always busy greeting everyone at the Station and being hugged. Riley is the most popular member of the crew.
The thing Riley enjoys most about volunteering at Exmouth RNLI is playing in the sea or on the beach and chasing balls. The human Volunteers mostly enjoy saving lives, meeting others, raising money, and informing people about the RNLI and Water Safety.
As you can see from his photos, Riley is very proud to be part of Exmouth RNLI and especially proud of our Lifeboat, which his dad, the Mechanic, keeps in perfect working order ready to save lives at sea.
In his spare time he likes to snooze, snack, and play with toys.
Favourite food – Chicken, bacon, ice cream – anything healthy really.
If you complete the Welly Trail and visit Exmouth Lifeboat Station to collect your free certificate, you might see Riley. If he’s not by the boat, look up, he sometimes keeps watch from the window of the crew room. He gets very excited when he sees his family or friends, especially if they’re carrying ‘dog friendly’ ice creams.
Interesting fact – He once appeared as the cover model on the RNLI book “Saved from the Waves”. Please don’t ask him about it through as he gets embarrassed with his superstar status.
These books are on sale in the RNLI Shop at Exmouth Lifeboat Station.
