Antonio’s Delightful Donation

Antonio’s, Exmouth’s authentic Italian ice cream parlour and cafe, has once again generously raised funds for Exmouth RNLI from a flavoursome competition.

This is the second year Antonio’s have run a competition to ‘Design a new ice cream flavour’ to specifically raise money for the RNLI. This year’s winner is 7 year old Katie Burke from The Beacon Primary School; she designed ‘Katie’s Strawberry Shortcake’, which has been extremely popular, selling over 1600 ice creams so far. For every ice cream sold, the proprietor, Tony Badcott donates 25 pence to Exmouth RNLI.

Last year’s winner, Darcy Greenland from Bassett’s Farm Primary School designed ‘Darcy’s Doughnut Delight’ and raised an incredible £375. But this year has succeeded last year’s amazing total, ‘Katie’s Strawberry Shortcake has raised a staggering £400!

Tony is delighted with the amount raised,

‘Last year Darcy’s Doughnut Delight raised an incredible £375 for Exmouth Lifeboats and to beat that total was fantastic. The competition for the 2016 flavour will be launched in February half term and I hope we can raise even more money next year for a local charity that works tirelessly every day of the year for the people of Exmouth.’

If any local school is interested in taking part, in the 2016 competition, please pop into Antonio’s or contact Tony by email: tonybadcott123@phonecoop.coop

Many thanks to Tony and his staff for their generosity and hard work in raising funds for the RNLI
